American Convicted for Cryptocurrency Home Invasions Across Multiple States

In Greensboro, North Carolina, a federal jury has convicted a 24-year-old man from West Palm Beach, Florida, for leading a series of violent home invasions aimed at stealing victims’ cryptocurrency holdings.

The verdict, delivered on June 25, followed a trial revealing his role in a conspiracy targeting U.S. citizens for their digital assets.

Authorities described the crimes as motivated by greed, involving physical violence, kidnapping, and intimidation across multiple states including North Carolina, Florida, Texas, and New York between December 2022 and July 2023.

The FBI’s investigation, supported by local law enforcement, uncovered the gang’s use of sophisticated laundering methods and encrypted communication to cover their tracks.
