Argentinian Schools to Introduce Ethereum and Blockchain Education
Argentina’s Ministry of Education has partnered with ETH Kipu to integrate Ethereum and blockchain technology into high school programs in Buenos Aires.
The initiative will introduce these subjects into the city’s educational curriculum and offer blockchain internships to provide students with practical experience. The first class of this program is set to start on August 27.
ETH Kipu will also launch an online course focused on Solidity, aiming to train 500 students in developing decentralized applications (DApps). The foundation plans to prepare 30 instructors to teach both Ethereum and blockchain concepts. Solidity is a programming language essential for creating smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain and is also used in networks like BNB Smart Chain and Avalanche.
Paula Doy, co-founder of ETH Kipu, highlighted that incorporating Ethereum into high school education will equip students with valuable technological skills and open up new career opportunities, positioning Argentina as a leader in blockchain innovation.

Amid soaring inflation rates, Argentina has seen a significant increase in crypto adoption, leading the Western hemisphere in this trend. As of July 8, Forbes noted that 2.5 million of the 130 million visitors to major global crypto exchanges were from Argentina. Additionally, data from SimilarWeb revealed that Argentina was the top market for Binance, with 6.9% of its traffic coming from the country, driven by local interest in stablecoins to combat inflation.
