Binance Founder Seeks Pardon from Trump, Report Claims

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance, is reportedly seeking a presidential pardon from Donald Trump, despite having already completed a four-month prison sentence, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal.
The U.S. president holds the authority to grant pardons, including preemptive ones, as outlined by the Constitution and Supreme Court precedents.
The report also suggests Binance is in talks to secure investments from the Trump family or associated entities like World Liberty Financial, with plans to move some operations to the U.S. These discussions come as part of Binance’s efforts to strengthen its U.S. presence.

While Binance has not responded publicly to these claims, the move aligns with Trump’s push for foreign companies to relocate operations to the U.S. Notably, the U.S. government holds $33 million worth of Binance’s BNB coins, possibly contributing to a new U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile.
In an update, CZ dismissed the reports, denying any discussions about a Binance U.S. deal and humorously remarking on his unique legal situation.
