Bitcoin Book With Unique Take on the Cryptocurrency Becomes Very Popular on Amazon
The book "Softwar," written by U.S. Space Force major Jason Lowery, has gained popularity on Amazon for its unique take on Bitcoin.
In the book, Lowery argues that Bitcoin has the potential as a military-grade solution for securing information rather than just its current use as a monetary network.
He posits that the Proof-of-Work (PoW) system underlying Bitcoin transaction verification can be leveraged by military powers to impose restrictions on bad actors through physical work in the form of crunching numbers.
The book draws on knowledge from various fields, such as anthropology and computer science, to establish and explore Lowery’s “Power Projection Theory.”

However, the book also includes a disclosure stating that the paper is not reflective of any official position held by the DoD, Air Force, or MIT.
While the book has received mostly positive ratings on Amazon, some reviews criticize it for “too much wishful thinking” and “arguments based on opinion.”
“Softwar” has garnered over 200 ratings on Amazon, with the majority awarding the book a five-star rating.
