To celebrate the launch of Base, the project is organizing an unprecedented on-chain summer festival, featuring collaborations with 50 talented builders, artists, products, and brands throughout August. This festival aims to showcase the emerging on-chain culture, offering a unique and enjoyable experience on-chain.
Base provides multiple ways for users to connect to the layer-2 scaling solution. They can access the project’s official website, take a quiz on Coinbase or the Coinbase wallet app, or use web3 protocols like Galxe, Layer3, or mint.fun to mint a NFT.

Ahead of its upcoming launch, Base has already opened its mainnet to developers and has successfully undergone rigorous internal and external security audits.
Coinbase’s primary objective with Base is to introduce over a billion users to the crypto economy. However, it’s worth noting that there are no plans to launch a network token linked to Base. The project aims to create an on-chain environment that becomes the next online platform and fosters an open ecosystem for builders worldwide.
