Craig Wright Misses Appeal Deadline, Despite Online Claims of Filing
Craig Wright has not filed an appeal against his recent UK court ruling, contrary to reports from two online accounts claiming otherwise.
Wright had until August 5 to seek permission from UK appellate courts to appeal the injunctions imposed on July 16. However, the UK Judicial Office has confirmed that no appeal has been submitted. The Justice case tracker for civil appeals also shows no record of an appeal by Wright.
While two accounts on X and Slack, allegedly associated with Wright, claimed he had filed an appeal by the deadline, there is no official confirmation. The X account shared the required legal notice text, suggesting a possible connection to Wright, as such notices must be posted following court orders.

This situation hints that the accounts might be run by or on behalf of Wright, raising doubts about the authenticity of the appeal claims.
Wright has previously abandoned appeals in Norway and the UK. His appeal against the Bitcoin influencer Hodlonaut in Norway was dropped, following a UK court decision. Another appeal in 2022 related to a defamation case against Peter McCormack was also unsuccessful. In that case, Wright was awarded only £1 in damages, with the judge criticizing the case as “deliberately false.”
Additionally, Wright has been referred to the Crown Prosecution Service to investigate possible perjury, with authorities uncertain of his current location, suggesting he could be in various regions, including Southeast Asia or Siberia.
