Prominent American investor and co-founder of the Quantum Fund, Jim Rogers, predicts a decline in the global supremacy of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency.
During an interview with Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik, Rogers expressed concerns about the politicization of the dollar by the United States, causing both allies and adversaries to seek alternative options.
Increasingly, individuals are questioning the viability of relying on the US dollar due to potential future issues. The international currency, which was meant to be impartial and universally usable, is now subject to rule changes by Washington. In the event of displeasure, access can be severed.
Rogers highlighted the historical pattern of reserve fiat currencies, which typically have a lifespan of approximately 100 years, as evidence that the dollar’s dominance will eventually fade.
