Fox Corporation Forges Strategic Alliance with Polygon for Blockchain Integration
Fox Corporation has recently partnered with Polygon (MATIC), introducing a groundbreaking media provenance protocol named Verify.
This collaboration, in conjunction with Polygon Labs, aims to address the challenges posed by AI-generated content, establishing a system to verify the authenticity and origin of media in a landscape dominated by artificial intelligence and deepfakes.
Verify, built on blockchain transparency, emerges at a critical juncture where the proliferation of AI-generated content across articles, audio, and images necessitates stringent measures for content validation.
In response to this challenge, Fox Corporation developed Verify, an open-source protocol created internally by their technology team. Leveraging the Polygon PoS infrastructure, the protocol emphasizes efficiency and robust transaction capabilities integral to validating content credibility.
During its closed beta rollout, Verify welcomed over 89,000 content pieces, encompassing diverse forms such as textual material and images sourced from Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Sports, and affiliated TV channels—an instrumental step forward in content verification.
