Gemini Partners with Real Bedford Football Club in Bitcoin Sponsorship Deal
Gemini has entered into a significant five-year sponsorship agreement with Real Bedford football club, co-owned by Peter McCormack, host of the popular podcast "What Bitcoin Did."
This sponsorship deal, paid upfront in bitcoin, highlights Gemini’s dedication to supporting local sports and community initiatives. It follows Winklevoss Capital’s $4.5 million investment in Real Bedford this April, solidifying Gemini’s involvement in the club’s growth and development.
Gemini’s sponsorship will prominently display its logo on Real Bedford’s jerseys and across the team’s pitch, enhancing its visibility within the community. This agreement complements the equity investment made by Winklevoss Capital, which made Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss co-owners alongside McCormack, who acquired the club in 2022.

Real Bedford’s adoption of bitcoin for its treasury management is a pioneering move in sports financing. Managed in bitcoin, the club’s treasury aims to safeguard against inflation while enhancing financial resilience. This approach has yielded a significant +62% return, strengthening the club’s financial position amid economic uncertainties.
The sponsorship funds from Gemini’s bitcoin payment will support Real Bedford’s initiatives, including the construction of a new training facility and the launch of a youth football academy.
