Hamster Kombat to Launch HMSTR Token and Airdrop on September 26
Hamster Kombat, a top tap-to-earn game on Telegram, announced on Wednesday that it will release its highly anticipated HMSTR token on The Open Network (TON) on September 26, along with an airdrop for its players on the same day.
Initially planned for July, the token launch was postponed to allow for additional preparation. Since its debut this spring, Hamster Kombat has garnered over 300 million players, with Telegram data showing more than 80 million active users in the past month.
The game, which follows the tap-to-earn model popularized by Notcoin earlier this year, operates within a “mini app” on Telegram. Notcoin’s success with 35 million players and a major gaming token launch set the stage for this new wave of tap-to-earn games.
The anonymous developers of Hamster Kombat, known for their crypto exchange CEO simulation, have generated significant excitement for the HMSTR token.

The airdrop announcement follows a recent network outage on TON caused by congestion related to another token launch, but TON representatives confirmed the network is now functioning normally.
