Bitcoin Predicted to Enter Supercycle with Shorter Corrections
Economist and trader Alex Krüger has expressed an optimistic outlook for Bitcoin (BTC), despite the cryptocurrency's current value being 14% below its all-time high.
In a recent interview on the Unchained podcast, Krüger discussed his belief that Bitcoin is far from reaching its peak and has substantial room for growth.
Krüger pointed to the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in early 2024 as a significant turning point. He argued that this development could alter Bitcoin’s historical four-year price cycles tied to the halving events.
According to him, the introduction of ETFs and the corresponding market flows will likely lead to a stronger and more sustainable correlation between Bitcoin and traditional risk assets.

Krüger further elaborated on the idea of a “supercycle” for Bitcoin, suggesting that the effects of the halving might diminish as ETFs gain prominence in the market.
He explained that while this shift might lead to less dramatic cycles, it could also bring shorter, more manageable corrections, particularly if the broader stock market and economy remain stable. He emphasized that, in his view, the smaller pullbacks would be brief and less severe, contributing to a more resilient long-term trend for Bitcoin.
