NEAR Rallies as Intents Volume and AI Integrations Accelerate

NEAR Protocol climbed about 6.7% over 24 hours to $2.46, outperforming a broader crypto market that gained roughly 1.4%, as fresh integrations strengthened the network's chain-abstraction and AI narrative.
Summary:
- NEAR gained 6% over the past 24 hours, outperforming the broader crypto market.
- NEAR Intents has surpassed $27 billion in cumulative volume across 34 chains.
- Decibel added Intents for cross-chain swaps, while Venice expanded NEAR’s confidential AI use case.
The move followed announcements involving Aptos-based perpetuals exchange Decibel and privacy-focused AI platform Venice, while NEAR Intents continues to process billions of dollars in cross-chain activity.
NEAR Intents is now integrated into @DecibelTrade as its canonical cross-chain swap provider.
Users can now bring BTC from 30+ chains into Decibel, an @Aptos-based perpetuals exchange, all within its onchain trading environment.

NEAR Intents Crosses $27 Billion in Volume
NEAR Intents has become one of the more measurable parts of the network’s chain-abstraction strategy.
The protocol allows users to specify a desired outcome, such as exchanging an asset between two networks, while competing solvers handle the routing and execution. This removes much of the manual work associated with bridges, gas tokens and fragmented liquidity.
NEAR’s official Intents site reports more than $27 billion in all-time volume across 34 chains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP Ledger and several other networks.
Independent data also shows substantial recent activity. DefiLlama currently records roughly $3.3 billion in 30-day DEX volume and around $132 million in total value locked for NEAR Intents.
The difference between cumulative volume and TVL is important. Intents is primarily routing liquidity rather than requiring users to leave an equivalent amount of capital permanently locked inside the protocol.
Decibel Adds Cross-Chain Access From More Than 30 Networks
Decibel is the latest trading venue to integrate the technology.
The Aptos-based perpetuals exchange has selected NEAR Intents as its canonical cross-chain swap provider. According to NEAR Protocol’s announcement, traders can bring BTC from more than 30 supported chains into Decibel while remaining within its onchain trading environment.
Additional assets are expected to follow.
For Decibel traders, the immediate benefit is fewer steps between holding an asset on one network and deploying capital on the exchange. The integration is particularly relevant for perpetuals platforms, where fragmented collateral across different chains can create friction before a trader reaches the actual market.
The announcement does not establish how much additional volume Decibel will contribute, however. That will become clearer once usage data begins reflecting the integration.
Venice Gives NEAR’s AI Strategy a Different Test
Venice expands the story beyond DeFi.
NEAR Protocol said users can now swap confidentially into VVV, Venice’s native token, through near.com and stake VVV on Venice for access to Venice Pro. Venice’s end-to-end encrypted AI infrastructure is also running on NEAR AI Cloud.
The setup combines private AI inference with crypto-based payments and execution.
For NEAR, this offers a more concrete test of its AI strategy than token-sector sentiment alone. Usage can eventually be assessed through activity around VVV, Venice services and NEAR’s confidential computing infrastructure.
Venice and NEAR close the confidential AI + DeFi loop.

That distinction is useful as AI-related cryptocurrencies regain market attention. A rising AI-token sector can amplify NEAR’s price momentum, but sustained application usage would provide a stronger fundamental signal than sector rotation by itself.
Intents Volume Is Starting to Produce Measurable Revenue
Large transaction volume does not automatically translate into equally large economics for the underlying protocol.
DefiLlama puts NEAR Intents’ 30-day fees at roughly $4.5 million, while protocol revenue over the same period is close to $1 million.
Cumulative protocol revenue is around $5.6 million.
There is also a direct connection to the NEAR token. DefiLlama’s methodology states that since February 23, captured Intents revenue has been used to buy NEAR on the open market rather than burn the tokens.

That makes revenue growth a more useful metric to monitor than cumulative swap volume alone.
If Intents continues expanding while captured revenue rises alongside it, the activity has a clearer path toward influencing NEAR token economics. If volume grows without comparable revenue growth, the headline adoption figures become less informative for token holders.
NEAR Price Challenges $2.50 Resistance
At the time of writing NEAR trades at $2.4404 at on September 9, after reaching an intraday high of $2.4954.

The token is trading above each of the four moving averages shown on the chart:
- 20-period SMA: $2.3501
- 50-period SMA: $2.1451
- 100-period SMA: $2.0157
- 200-period SMA: $1.8480
- RSI: 61.76
The moving averages are also stacked in bullish order, with progressively shorter averages above longer ones. That supports the current uptrend while leaving NEAR comfortably above its medium-term trend levels.
RSI at 61.76 signals positive momentum but remains below the conventional overbought threshold of 70.
The immediate challenge sits around $2.50. NEAR approached the same area earlier in September and Wednesday’s latest candle again stopped just short of a decisive breakout.
A sustained move above $2.50 would strengthen the case for an extension toward the $2.70 area. On the downside, the rising 20-period SMA around $2.35 provides the first technical support. Losing that level would shift attention toward the recent $2.24-$2.30 consolidation zone.
U.S. inflation data due September 11 remains an external risk, particularly if the release triggers a broader repricing of risk assets.
For NEAR itself, the next signals are relatively concrete. The market needs to clear $2.50 to extend the technical breakout, while Intents needs to maintain its recent multibillion-dollar monthly activity and convert more of that flow into protocol revenue. Those two measures will show whether the latest rally is developing alongside stronger network economics or running ahead of them.
