MoonPay Eyes $150 Million Deal to Acquire Crypto Payment Platform Helio Pay

MoonPay is reportedly negotiating the purchase of Helio Pay, a crypto payment platform, for an estimated $150 million, according to Fox Business' Eleanor Terrett.
If the deal goes through, it will be MoonPay’s most significant acquisition since its inception in 2018.
MoonPay, which has attracted over 20 million users worldwide, simplifies the process of buying and selling digital assets through payment methods like debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The platform’s focus on easing crypto transactions has made it a key player in onboarding users into the digital asset ecosystem.

Helio Pay, known for its self-service platform catering to content creators and eCommerce merchants, allows businesses to accept crypto payments. Its integration of Solana Pay with Shopify has enabled merchants to process transactions in stablecoins such as USDC, PYUSD, and EURC, with automatic conversion features.
This acquisition would significantly enhance MoonPay’s merchant services and integrate Helio’s cutting-edge payment technology into its existing infrastructure.
