Personal Data from Gemini and Binance Users Allegedly Leaked on Dark Web

A hacker is reportedly selling personal information linked to users of the Gemini and Binance cryptocurrency exchanges, according to cybersecurity platform DarkWebInformer.

The exposed data includes sensitive details such as names, passwords, and location information, with hundreds of thousands of entries being made available on the dark web.

Binance’s customer support team responded to the leak by conducting a thorough investigation into the stolen data.

They assured users that the leaked information did not match any records from their platform.

The source of the leak, identified as “AKM69,” is said to have put up for sale a substantial dataset allegedly tied to Gemini.

The leak contains over 100,000 records, including full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and locations, predominantly from US-based individuals, along with some data from users in Singapore and the UK.
