Ripple Co-Founder Backs Kamala Harris for President
Chris Larsen, co-founder and executive chairman of Ripple, has joined a group of influential figures endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency.
On September 6, CNBC reported that Larsen signed a letter backing Harris’s presidential bid. The letter, which was endorsed by 88 prominent business leaders, also included notable signatories like Aaron Levie, CEO of Box, Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman, Snap chairman Michael Lynton, and former 21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch.
The endorsement follows the recent departure of Gene Sperling, a former Ripple board member, from the White House to join Harris’s 2024 campaign.
Sperling, who has a history of serving as an economic adviser under several U.S. presidents, is among several advisers with connections to the crypto industry now supporting Harris. David Plouffe, a former adviser to Binance and Alchemy Pay, has also joined Harris’s campaign team.
