SingularityNET Unveils Major Investment in Modular AGI Supercomputer
SingularityNET has announced a significant $53 million investment in developing a modular supercomputer tailored for decentralized artificial general intelligence (AGI).
This initiative begins with a $26.5 million allocation for the supercomputer, which will feature modular data centers from Ecoblox and cutting-edge hardware, including GPUs and processors from Nvidia, AMD, and Tenstorrent, alongside AI servers from Asus and Gigabyte.
The supercomputer’s modular design allows for flexible scaling and upgrades, a first for systems dedicated to AGI research. It is set to enhance the training of various AI models and neural networks, supporting advances in AGI and artificial superintelligence.
CEO Ben Goertzel emphasized that the investment is designed to advance continuous AGI learning and processing efficiency. The move is part of a broader trend, with global tech players increasing their investments in AI infrastructure.
