Tether Celebrates 10 Years of USDT with New Documentary

Tether, the leading stablecoin issuer, is set to release a documentary celebrating the 10th anniversary of USDT, focusing on its role in helping individuals in inflation-affected regions.

The film includes testimonials from users, notably in Brazil, where USDT constituted 80% of crypto transactions in 2023.

Launched as Realcoin on October 6, 2014, by Brock Pierce and others, Tether quickly became the largest stablecoin, with a market cap of $120 billion.

CEO Paolo Ardoino highlighted the company’s mission to provide financial solutions for those underserved by traditional banking, noting that millions now use USDT as their “digital dollar.”
