Tether Celebrates 10 Years of USDT with New Documentary
Tether, the leading stablecoin issuer, is set to release a documentary celebrating the 10th anniversary of USDT, focusing on its role in helping individuals in inflation-affected regions.
The film includes testimonials from users, notably in Brazil, where USDT constituted 80% of crypto transactions in 2023.
Launched as Realcoin on October 6, 2014, by Brock Pierce and others, Tether quickly became the largest stablecoin, with a market cap of $120 billion.
CEO Paolo Ardoino highlighted the company’s mission to provide financial solutions for those underserved by traditional banking, noting that millions now use USDT as their “digital dollar.”

Tether is also proactive in combating crypto fraud, recently assisting the U.S. Department of Justice in recovering over $6 million tied to scams.
With significant involvement in various seizure operations, Tether has supported over 180 enforcement agencies worldwide, reinforcing its commitment to fighting cryptocurrency-related crimes and aiding victims.
