Uniswap Captures 60% of RWA DEX Volume as UNI Jumps 10%

Uniswap's UNI token rose more than 10% over the past 24 hours to around $5.67, outperforming a weaker broader crypto market as trading activity across the protocol accelerated.
Summary:
- Uniswap’s share of RWA DEX trading rose sharply in one week.
- Robinhood Chain is becoming an important source of protocol activity.
- Pons has crossed $4 billion in cumulative Uniswap volume.
- UNI remains well above its major moving averages after the rally.
Two areas stand out behind the move: Uniswap’s growing share of decentralized real-world asset trading and rapidly expanding activity on Robinhood Chain.
Uniswap’s RWA market share jumps from 40% to above 60%
Uniswap said more than 60% of all decentralized exchange volume involving real-world assets ran through its protocol last week, compared with approximately 40% one week earlier.

The change represents a 20-percentage-point increase in market share within a single week.
RWA trading on Uniswap includes tokenized representations of traditional financial assets. The protocol has been expanding access to these markets, including tokenized versions of securities linked to companies such as Apple, Tesla and Nvidia.
In June, Uniswap said its RWA pools had already processed more than $9.1 billion in swaps across 2.6 million transactions involving over 140,000 wallets.
Those figures provide useful context for the latest market-share increase. Uniswap is not entering tokenized assets from a negligible starting point. It already has billions of dollars of historical RWA trading activity, and its share of current decentralized volume is now increasing.
There is an important distinction for investors, however. Tokenized stocks traded through Uniswap are issued by third parties and are not necessarily equivalent to owning the underlying equity. Rights to voting, dividends, redemption and underlying assets depend on the individual issuer’s structure.
Robinhood Chain is adding another source of volume
The second growth engine is Robinhood Chain.
The Layer 2 network launched its public mainnet on July 1 and has already processed more than $47 billion in cumulative DEX volume. Daily activity reached roughly $945 million on August 25, while another record followed at the end of the month.
Uniswap has captured a large portion of that trading.
On August 30, Robinhood Chain generated approximately $874.8 million in DEX volume. Uniswap V4 handled $432 million, V3 processed $356.9 million and V2 added another $40 million.

Together, the three versions routed almost 95% of the network’s DEX activity that day.
The composition of that activity is also important.
Tokenized assets are growing on Robinhood Chain, but much of the recent surge has come from speculative token trading rather than RWAs alone. That makes it difficult to attribute UNI’s strength exclusively to tokenized stocks.
Instead, Uniswap is benefiting from two simultaneous sources of activity: expanding RWA trading and a sharp increase in speculative volume on a newly launched chain.
Pons crosses $4 billion through Uniswap
Pons provides one of the clearest examples of the second trend.

The Robinhood Chain token-launch platform has now crossed $4 billion in cumulative trading volume, a milestone subsequently highlighted by Uniswap.
Just days earlier, Uniswap Labs noted that Pons had passed $3 billion and represented roughly 11% of all DEX volume on Robinhood Chain.
The additional $1 billion accumulated rapidly.
PONS itself was the most actively traded token on Robinhood Chain on August 30, generating $67.38 million across 135,566 trades and 12,670 unique traders. Nine of the 20 most-traded tokens that day had launched through Pons.
This activity matters to Uniswap even though Pons is a separate platform.
Pons builds on Uniswap infrastructure, meaning trading generated by its ecosystem ultimately contributes to activity flowing through the protocol.
The relationship illustrates how Uniswap V4 can grow indirectly. Rather than requiring every trader to arrive through Uniswap’s own interface, third-party applications can build markets on its infrastructure and route activity through the protocol.
Why higher volume matters for UNI
Rising protocol activity has become more relevant to UNI because trading volume is increasingly connected to the token’s value-accrual narrative.
More transactions can generate more protocol fees. Under mechanisms that direct eligible fees toward UNI-related burns or other value-accrual processes, sustained activity can reduce token supply over time.
That creates a clearer chain between usage, fee generation and UNI economics than existed when UNI functioned primarily as a governance token.
The distinction between temporary and recurring volume therefore matters.
Robinhood Chain’s recent numbers have been boosted heavily by newly launched and meme tokens. On August 30, the network recorded 5.5 million transactions while launchpad volume alone reached a record $394.4 million.
If that speculative activity fades, Uniswap’s volume contribution from the network could decline with it.
RWA activity potentially provides a different type of flow. Tokenized equities and other financial assets could generate more persistent demand if onchain adoption continues, although the latest one-week increase in market share is still too short to establish a durable trend.
UNI holds above $5.60 after the rally
UNI was trading around $5.67 at the time of writing after reaching an intraday high near $5.91, according to the four-hour Coinbase chart.

The rally has left the token comfortably above its major simple moving averages.
The 20-period SMA stands near $5.19, followed by the 50-period average at $4.72. Longer-term averages are considerably lower, with the 100-period SMA around $4.23 and the 200-period SMA near $4.06.
That alignment keeps the short-term trend constructive despite the pullback from the session high.
Momentum is more stretched.
The 14-period RSI is approximately 69.6, just below the conventional overbought threshold of 70 after briefly moving above it during the rally.
The combination suggests UNI retains positive momentum but could face consolidation after its rapid advance.
Immediate resistance sits around $5.90-$6.00, where the latest rally stalled. A sustained move above that area would put UNI into a new short-term trading range.
On the downside, the first area to monitor is around $5.50, followed by the rising 20-period moving average near $5.19. Losing the latter would weaken the current short-term structure and shift attention toward the $4.70-$4.75 area around the 50-period average.
The next test is the quality of Uniswap’s volume
UNI’s rally has arrived while several different forms of activity are converging on the protocol.
Pons demonstrates how third-party applications can generate billions of dollars in trading through Uniswap infrastructure.
Robinhood Chain provides a rapidly expanding new distribution environment. Tokenized securities, meanwhile, are giving the protocol exposure to a market that behaves differently from conventional crypto trading.
The mix is more important than another record day.
Speculative token launches can produce large bursts of volume but may disappear just as quickly. RWA markets could provide more persistent flows, but Uniswap’s jump from 40% to above 60% market share covers only one week.
For UNI, maintaining the current price move will therefore depend less on another isolated volume record and more on whether Uniswap can retain RWA market share while Robinhood Chain activity normalizes after its launch-driven surge.
