Vietnam Sets Sights on Becoming Asia’s Blockchain Hub by 2030
Vietnam has unveiled its National Blockchain Strategy, with ambitious goals to lead the region in blockchain research and innovation by 2030.
The strategy, announced on October 23, recognizes blockchain as a key technology for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and underscores its importance for future development.
Phan Duc Trung, Vice President of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, emphasized that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to building a secure, transparent, and sustainable digital economy.
The strategy aims to establish Vietnam as a major hub for blockchain research, infrastructure development, and international collaboration, positioning the country as a leader in Asia by 2030.

A key part of the plan involves recognizing digital assets under civil and intellectual property laws. Vietnam intends to align its regulations with global standards to protect these assets while preventing misuse, such as money laundering or terrorist financing.
This move aligns with Vietnam’s status as a top-five country for global crypto adoption.
