Aptos Labs made an announcement today on Twitter regarding a security incident involving the Aptos Network.
The official communication from the Aptos Foundation confirms this news, which was also reported on Aptos Labs’ Twitter account.
We’ve received official communication from Aptos Foundation that @Aptos_Network has been compromised.
The latest tweet regarding an $APT airdrop is fraudulent.

As a result of the breach, a deceitful tweet has been circulated regarding an APT airdrop. To protect their followers and the wider community, Aptos Labs issued an urgent warning advising against engaging with any suspicious tweets or clicking on any accompanying links.
Aptos Labs assures that the blockchain itself remains uncompromised.
The exact nature of the breach is still unclear, and the number of affected users or individuals misled by the fraudulent airdrop announcement is unknown.
