SHIB’s Lead Developer Outlines Timeline for Shibarium’s Beta Testing

The lead developer of Shiba Inu's (SHIB) layer-2 project, Shytoshi Kusama, has outlined a tentative timeline for the completion of the beta-testing phase.

Kusama revealed through a SHIB influencer that Shibarium’s testnet, “Puppynet,” may be operational within two months, but the testing period may extend up to July 2023.

During this phase, the SHIB team will focus on identifying and addressing any glitches in the system. Shibarium is a layer-2 protocol developed on Ethereum (ETH), similar to Polygon (MATIC).

Recently, SHIB released Shibarium’s beta version for beta testers to explore, but Kusama cautioned users against spending SHIB to accumulate these tokens.

Once the beta testing is complete, Shibarium will offer a new ecosystem of custom coins that can be traded using Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) to pay for gas fees. As of writing, SHIB is trading at a fractional increase on the day, valued at $0.000011.
