Spot Ethereum ETFs Set to Launch on July 23

Several spot Ethereum ETFs, including those from Fidelity and VanEck, are set to begin trading on July 23, as announced by Cboe.

Cboe confirmed the launch date for the Fidelity Ethereum Fund, Franklin Ethereum ETF, Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF, VanEck Ethereum ETF, and 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF.

Cboe’s notification stated, “We are pleased to announce that 1 Exchange Traded Product (‘ETP’) will be listed on Cboe and will begin trading as a new issue on July 23, 2024.”

While the SEC approved the necessary 19b-4 forms for these ETFs in May, firms are now waiting for their registration statements to become effective. Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas noted that firms plan to request effectiveness on Monday, with trading expected to start on July 23.
